"Just push through the illness!" sounds like great advice - except that I'm fresh out of "push"! What now, Einstein?! ;)

It doesn't matter what people think?

Popular wisdom says that it doesn't matter what other people think - but my reputation, credibility and being treated with respect are important to me - and are all negatively affected when people think my illness is not every bit as serious as I say it is.

"But there's no reason why you should feel sick!"

Whether you "should" be sick doesn't change the fact that you ARE sick...
